Question: How do you handle the writing of a negative review?

My Answer: Well this my seem kind funny but I have very few Negative reviews. Though I have one or two. Though just because it was not my cup of tea. It does not have anything to do with the author that wrote the book. It just may have not keep me interested in it. Most of the books have postive reviews overall. If you go though some you may find that my rating goes as low as a 3 Rats to 5 rats. I do not think any have less then that. If so it very though though I do remember with 2 rats…take or leave it.
Mostly if I give a low rating I try and stay positive and tell others know that it not the author that I am giving the low rating it may be that it just was not my cup of tea or did not interest me though I will be honesty to my point or view of rating if it low that it is just me that I did not like. Knowing that other my love it or like it, if they pick it up and read it.

  1. Great idea on the reflection of the reader idea. It's a good point. Everyone has their own opinions, just because one person doesn't like a book doesn't mean that author is a bad writer, just that it wasn't the right taste for the reader.

Also, a lot of books are very well written, but the plot doesn't hold any interest.

Thanks for stopping by my blog!

  2. There is truth to that comment about reflecting the reader for fiction. I review nonfiction mostly, so could give a bad review if a book is factually incorrect. That is a reflection on the writer. Overall, well said.
