Jump Into the Universe of Books #1

Well, I been looking at creating a meme around books. I have been inspired to make this into a meme but to make sure it would be success. I want to try it out and see if I can get anyone to join in it though this comments. If I get a really good response I will make it into a meme the next week. I have a link up for this if you like to join in. I am giving it a try.

I have been in some book blog memes like Feature and Follow by Alison can Read and Book blog Hop by CrazyForBooks. I like some of these and will get back into them again soon. I would like to do one with where you can interact and answer questions about books or even  do a theme or make list. It would be different each week. I wanted to make it a little different and combine it together.

How it will Work:
– I will post this weekly on Tuesday unless otherwise notice.
– I will post a Question or some Activity you may need to do it has to do with books or Book Reviews or Authors or Something with Writing or even something your book blog.
– You need just to Answer the Question or Activity or Topic.

Want to Join in:
– Anyone can join and you can post any day you want once the post is up.
– Create a post about the topic or Question of the week.
– Take the image to put in your blog post.
– Answer it any way you want.
– Have a blog just then Link on up once done.
– Don’t have a blog? Then just leave comment in the comment section and leave your link.

Question: Have you Fallen behind on your Book Reviews or Book Reading or Writing? Have you fallen behind with anything else this week that might be slacking in a book Related way?

Answer: I have and I am trying to catch up on all the book reviews I need to post. I have read more books then I had of lack them. Have been busy with a few things and still trying balance things out. I have read more books just did not have the time to write the reviews. It that i been traveling, spending time with my dad and his family, I read and I now been doing woodburning it something I want to keep doing in my spare time as well. I just need to post a few reviews. I also got a wedding coming up that going take some time away. Let me  make a list of books I plan to do this week about my book reviews. I have in way of not getting two of my books. One I know where it is and is the one I am looking for. The other is still has not arrived and I will need to contact where I won the book.

Should I start a Book Blog Meme?

I have been thinking of starting a Book Blog Meme. I have thought about it for a while. I know what I would call it. I have some ideas of what I would do if I were to start. Though I have come up with ideas and fun thing to do for it.

Some ideas would be fun to do and several different questions. Some topics could be fun to see or do. I have come up with some names for it as well. Let me know how you feel about it. You can leave your answers in the comments and answer the poll as well.

Question: When a book goes “viral” (Hunger Games, Fifty Shades, Twilight), do you rush out to read it like everyone else, even if it’s not in your typical genre?

My Answer: It Very easy to state. No, I do not rush out to get the book. I will read the reviews or description for the book first and I do this even with Library books. I read something first and decide about it. I know that the cover can interest me then I read the back cover and then decide if I want to get it or check it out or not.

Question: What is one thing that your blog readers probably do not know about you?

My Answer: I am an only child. I  really enjoy other things other then Reading. For one thing I enjoy Camping and nature. I would enjoy Riding my bike  or hanging out with friends. Most of all I enjoy Sports epecisically Pro Football and Hockey and little Baseball. Pro Football take my Sunday during the Fall for I root for my home team “Pittsburgh Steelers” and Root for my “Pittsburgh Penguins” and finally I root for my “Pittsburgh Pirates”. I am hoping to go to my favorite and beloved Steelers Training Camp. I root for them all the time that doe not mean that if the playoffs comes around that if my Team not there guess what I root for another team but my home team comes first and foremost when rooting for Football team. I will watch other pro football teams as well.

Though Most of the these hobbies are what would love doing and I enjoy each one just the same.

Question of the Week: What’s the ONE super-hyped book you’ll NEVER read?

 

My Answer: I have not every done this nor do I got out and buy it. I really never had this happen. If it were to happen I think it would be a Cookbook or Paranormal or possibly a Non fiction book. Though  I have gotten a few book that are Non Fiction and I enjoyed them. So I really do not have any but If it were to happen probably Fantasy is one Genre or book I will never read. But I do not really now if this will stick this way.

Question of the week: How long does it take you to read a book?

My Answer: This Hard for me to decide. Though I think it really depends on the book I am reading. If I am not busy I will read as much as possible. Though I just finished Where The Lilacs Bloom by Jane Kirkpatrick. It an Historical Fiction I believe with most of it based on the True Story.  It took me about 2 weeks to read. I normally have book finished with in a week time. Though maybe with my mouth getting worded on it may  have been that and the fact it been hot and sticky and muggy I did not want to read much. Like I said it may take me at least a week to finish a book any genre I am reading. This can vary as well for I am also be in one that I enjoy so much I can not put it done a book.

Question of the Week: If you could be a character from any book, who would you be?

My Answer: I really I thought I would like to be Laura from Little House on the Prairie but I really do know know. She a sweet but can be strong stick up for herself. Though From the book I am reading at the moment, “Where The Lilacs Still Bloom” by Jane Kirkpatrick is a really good book to I do not know who I like to be in that book but it is really good. I do not think i could be Hudie Klager, Though being a mother of four children would be something.

Though I am reading another book called “Summer on Blossom Street” by Debbie Macomber. I would not know if I could want to be one of the woman in this book. I might want to be Anne Marie or even Lydia for they both have what I want and they are something I am willing to wait for.

Question: Do you have a keeper shelf for books you loved? What books are on that shelf and why?

 

My Answer: Yes Do I have a Keeper Shelf. This Shelf is scattered around my bedroom. Some books are on bookshelves some are in a folding bin and some are on my headboard and in the selves on headboard.

The Books on this keeper Shelf or Shelves for me are “The Boxcar Children”, “Chicken Soup for Soul Books”, “The Baby Sitter Club”, “The Baby Sitter Little Sister”, “Oliver Twist” “Peter Pan”, “Pee Wee Scout” and some many more.

Why do I keep these books… Well mostly because I read them and reread them. Some I found I really like and will read them again. Some I was given for my birthday or Christmas and I just keep them around and some I have read but some have not and want to read them at some point.

Blogging Question: Do you immediately write a review upon finishing a book or do you wait and write multiple reviews at once?

 

My answer: I try and to immediately write a review upon finishing a book. Though I I been putting it off for a day or two that is for when I have been really tried or in pain. I have been in that for the last couple of days. Though I am getting back to writing a review as soon as I finish the book or immediately the next day.
